Ants!

I often find insects and spiders living in gate control board enclosures. Ants nests are the worst, and they can destroy a circuit board- but slugs also can destroy a circuit board. Enclosures should be sealed, or the gaps should be tiny. Installers should be careful when they put their cables into a sealed enclosure to seal around the conduits. Try putting cloves into the enclosure to deter ants. If ants can’t be stopped, seal the circuit board with a conformal coating.
